CONRADI, Frederick (1889-1936)
Frederick Conradi was among the first to enlist from the Yarra Glen district. His father Ernest was a farmer and the family lived in Clear Hills Road. Three of the Conradi children attended the Dixons Creek State School in the late 1890s. At the time of enlistment on 14 September 1914, Fred Conradi was 25 and an engineer living at Auburn. He initially held the rank of Sergeant (Farrier) and was later promoted to Lieutenant. He was overseas from 1914 to 1919. He married Dorothy Colcutt in London July 1919 and shortly afterwards they returned to Australia. In 1934 he was living in Williamstown. Frederick Conradi's name is listed on the Dixons Creek Honor Roll.
